Walter Lee Steward, Jr., was born on August 18, 1950, in Victoria, Texas. He transitioned to eternity with his Lord on December 26, 2020, in Dallas, Texas.
Walter attended James Madison High School in Dallas, Texas. He furthered his education at Eastfield College in Mesquite, Texas. Walter enlisted in the United States Air Force and proudly served his country until being honorably discharged. He enjoyed a longtime career with the United States Postal Service for 40 years.
He married the love of his life, Graciela Forward. The two remained united in holy matrimony for 39 years until his transition.
Walter will be fondly remembered for being a devoted and caring husband, a God-fearing man, and a father and friend who never met a stranger. His humourous and loving nature will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter Lee Steward, Sr. and Marjorie Knox Steward; and siblings, Wayne Steward and Jessie Steward. Those left to cherish precious memories include his wife, Graciela Forward Steward; children: Jasmin Steward Creal (Joseph), Jourdain Steward, Tera Steward George, Chelsea Steward Murphy (Kevin), and Shellie Ward Willis (Shawn); grandchildren: Kayla Steward, Joseph Creal III, Kennedy Creal, Winston George, Winter George, Kholbe Murphy, Brianna Willis, and De'Vante Willis; siblings, Janet Stroud and Sonny Steward; and host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
