Zachary Pierre August was born in Plano, Texas on October 16, 1998. Bright-eyed and looking around, he made his entrance into the world in grand fashion, being born 11 weeks earlier than anticipated and weighing only 2.2 lbs.
Affectionately known as "Zach" to most, "Zickery" to his Granny, and "Ziggy" or "Z" to others, he was a very free-spirited child - active, loving, and caring. Zach was a "never-give-up" kind of kid who became very driven as he grew older, always striving for excellence.
Even at an early age, he began to express his love of dance in all he did. He was always moving and dancing! Although Zach was active in sports - first soccer, then basketball - he inevitably shifted from sports to dance after he auditioned for and was selected into the hip-hop troupe called "Misfit." With his dance troupe, he began performing in competitions and at local venues. He eventually extended his passion for dance, making it into his Creekview High School dance troupe, "Moving Ground." Not long after, he became the troupe President.
After graduating high school, Zach attended Point Park University in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania. Undeterred by the worldwide pandemic of COVID-19, he chose to remain on campus and dance remotely to continue his studies learning about dance and choreography. Zach went on to receive his Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance. He loved dance and choreography. He loved performing on stage himself as much as he loved seeing others perform his works. Shortly after graduation, Zach moved to New York to fulfill his dream of dancing on a "bigger stage”.
Zachary leaves behind his parents, siblings, and many family and friends to cherish lasting memories.
